Brunching Babes Weekend Roundup..Saddle Up!

Good Morning/Afternoon! Babes reporting to the floor duty and its time for....

This weekend the babes divided and conquered and with the M.O.M day, It was 2 Babes 2 days 3 new places! I think we may still be full from the amazing goodies that were tried! Havana Central was our third destination but they will be covered later  when  we divulge the full details of our wonder celebration with the special ladies in our lives. It has definitely been a hectic start to the week in these part of towns, with some exciting developments but we shall talk more about that in a future post! Below you will find a recap of our Brunchventures We say...
Better to brunch porn  late than never

 Film Center Cafe

So the honey and I  woke up with flights of fancy Saturday morning. Researching new places to try high and low and far. One point we were even looking into Westchestah, as my Brunching Babe in crime likes to jokingly say and the waterfront in Yonkers, but um lets say places outside of the city need to get their Saturday brunching availability up! So we stayed in good old NYC, although we have recently made pact to try more places out of the city suddenly three letters popped into my head FCC and we are not talking bout the Federal Trade Commission.

Located adjacent to NY’s kick ass theater district, this cozy neighborhood jewel blends the love of movies and food, which if you’ve read anything on our about us, are top two on these babes passion list. Let's just say when the hostess escorted us to our booth they had me at Audrey and a large booth just for us two...

Important to note the early bird definitely catches the worm here! See some of the resident babes in our crew and yours truly previously attempted to have an impromptu brunch here upon feverishly googling bottomless drink brunch specials. We arrived extra excited on a Sunday only to find that it’s not a well kept secret, instead a well stalked establishment and we left with our brunch bubble burst! No worries that story actually has a happy ending we ended up discovering what has become another favorite that day.

Well what I  experienced this past Saturday was a complete opposite experience. Armed with the knowledge of my previous defeat and knowing it was Saturday the typically less crowded brunch day, I saw availability on Open Table and snagged a reservation for two promptly at 12 noon. So for $11.95 you have your pick of some serious yums add an extra $16 and you have just scored yourself a bottomless brunch. TRUST ME ..you want this! Enjoy  the pictures below and shoutout to our lovely waitress who understood sometimes you want to keep the party going on a Saturday brunch and was more than generous/prompt with the drink refills as well as pulling double duty with an awesome ipod mix ;)

Let’s face it, we don’t usually give ourselves some “ME” time and especially in NYC, we live in such a fast paced lifestyle. Sometimes you really do need to “stop and smell the roses” and enjoy the finer things in life. This babe was in much need of some pampering!

If you have to pamper yourself and sacrifice being late for brunch then you must do what you have to do. After all, pampering yourself only boosts your confidence and makes you feel even more fabulous than you already are.

This past Saturday, I had a late brunch date. I couldn’t join my other babe at Film Centre Café but I was still able to enjoy a nice French brunch in the Lower East Side of Manhattan with great company. I love the fact that there are places that offer brunch til 5pm, Café Charbon being one of them. Café Charbon located on the corner of Orchard St. and Stanton St. is a cute French restaurant posing as a crèmerie (dairy), tabac (newsstand), and épicerie (grocery store).  My date and I sat in between the outside and inside of the restaurant just in case it rained (Must protect the hair!). Luckily it did not rain!

It was a perfect setting for a date, catching up with friends or even a solo brunch. I saw a group of girlfriends brunching together, a couple sharing mussels and a man eating solo with his newspaper.

I got my Sex and the City on and started it off with a Cosmo.  I actually ordered 3 in total, (hey it was the weekend- don’t judge me!) while Mr. Big enjoyed an ice cold Heineken.

For my entrée, I went with the Steak Frites which came with a small salad on the side. The steak and fries were delicious and satisfied my hunger. (The French totally got that fries thing on lock!) My date enjoyed a Hanger Steak with shallots sauce, gratin dauphinois (which is scalloped potatoes with cheese.) Both decent portions.

We capped off the date with some comedy at The Laugh Lounge. Laughter really is the best medicine and it burns calories!

Here I am with comedian, Grant Cooper who had us laughing our butts off!
