Sunday Funday 2.0 The Weekend After Brunch Fun Continues at Dyckman Bar

Dyckman Bar Located at 221 Dyckman Street

This week you get a special treat 3 for the price of 1! That’s right the brunching babes kept their fist pumping going and immediately after brunch we reported back to the dance floor  where we had originally had a pre- brunch drank and linked up with our friend @iamSKny one of the owners of the newly revamped Dyckman Bar & Lounge located at  221 Dyckman St. If these are your stomping grounds you may have known this as the old Patrick's bar. Well let me tell you there is nothing old about this place! Only a fresh scene, a hip crowd and a liquid brunch fiesta that could put most Friday night spots to shame with its day time partay (yes you must say part-ay).

As you can see by the pictures above, Dyckman Bar incorporates one of the increasingly popular design trends we covered on this site before by bringing  elements of the outside in. The seating booth is conveniently located in prime people and outside watching zone with smaller more private tables and stools peppered around the bar.  The ambiance is also paired with the intelligent use of  the floor to ceiling open French window design,  light and air pours in over the day time partiers. In short the owners make great use of their limited space, you really feel like your posted up in a Hamptons or island cabana complete with a DJ spinning the hottest tunes from old school to new school in the corner. With the perfect set up and a lively crowd that would make even the shy(est) brunch goer strap on their dancing shoes or mingle the scene was set for a great after Brunch liquid party. Even liquor company Belvedere was in the house promoting their new bloody mary flavored vodka. While these babes are not  bloody mary lovers it is undeniably a staple brunch drink for many and added to the true brunch extension partying ambiance that was in tow. Plus free drinks/shots are always appreciated no matter if its not the preferred flavor lol!

As the normal  brunch hours passed and street walkers saw the party raging inside the crowd only grew. After casing the joint and talking to patrons this appears to be a regular after brunch fave and with the pics below you can see why for yourself!

Feeling Faint Score some plantain chips w/Chimmichuri sauce or Empanadas

Now for your viewing pleasure the rest of Sunday Funday. I must preface this by saying pictures do not do it justice. You will just have to stop in to see for yourself. Make sure to mention the babes sent you ;)

What is this? See our note below

Here we take a brief break from our sponsor to explain.PALO is our Original Formulation of Mamajuana. Building upon the traditional ingredients found in all Mamajuana blends, PALO combines 16 natural and wild-crafted roots and herbs brewed to perfection without any chemicals or preservatives (taken directly from their website). You may have heard of little Italy or Chinatown but Dyckman bar is located in the area of Uptown Manhattan known as Washington Heights which is affectionately known to many as Little D.R. (Dominican Republic). Mama Juana is the drink of the natives; its known as Tonic with herbal healing powers but is also traditionally mixed with aged rum. All I can say is Mamajuana makes Red Bull and Henny  and four loko look like a shirley temple. At Dyckman bar you can order this straight up or they also have a cocktail which includes this drink as one of the ingredients. As one part of this dynamic brunching duo is Dominican we both approve!

Here now we come to a close. I leave you with this nugget: If you are uptown, downtown anywhereintown  &  looking for a great post Brunch fiesta Dyckman bar should definitely be on your hit list. These babes plan on many repeat visits and you may even see some future collaborations. Make sure to visit this new uptown gem and tell them the Babes sent you. Until next time!
